Update 8:24 a.m. EDT: SpaceX aborted the mission prior to liftoff. Teams are targeting launch of the Starlink 10-7 mission on Monday, Aug. 12.

Less than a minute to go from liftoff, SpaceX called an abort of the Starlink 10-7 mission. The call came just seconds after the mission’s launch director said that they were “go for launch.”

The Falcon 9 flight was the second of three planned launches over the weekend. Now, SpaceX is targeting liftoff no earlier than 6:37 a.m. EDT (1037 UTC) from Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center.

Spaceflight Now will have live coverage beginning about an hour prior to liftoff.

In a post-scrub statement on X, formerly Twitter, SpaceX did not specify what caused the scrub, but just noted that the “Vehicle and payload are in good health and teams are resetting for a launch attempt on Monday, August 12.” They also noted that the planned launch of Space Norway’s Arctic Satellite Broadband Mission (ASBM) satellite is still on track for launch Sunday night from California.

The Falcon 9 first stage booster supporting the Starlink mission, tail number B1073, will be launching for a 17th time. It previously launched the ispace Hakuto-R lunar lander, the Bandwagon-1 rideshare flight and 11 Starlink missions.

About eight and a half minutes after liftoff, B1073 will land on the SpaceX droneship, ‘A Shortfall of Gravitas.’ This will be the 79th booster landing on ASOG and the 337th booster landing to date.

Heading into Sunday’s launch opportunity, the 45th Weather Squadron forecast a 90 percent chance of favorable weather at liftoff for both the Sunday and Monday launch windows.
