Glasgow-based space industry scale-up Craft Prospect Ltd has been chosen by the European Space Agency as a Rising Star in this year’s awards.
Selected from companies across Europe, Craft Prospect is one of a handful of organizations recognized for the award by ESA’s commercialization team at the International Astronautical Congress currently taking place in Milan. The award seeks to honour start-ups and scale-ups in the European space sector who demonstrate exceptional innovation and high-growth potential.

Founded in Glasgow in 2017, Craft Prospect is an employee-owned space engineering company bringing innovative new products in onboard intelligence and quantum technologies to the space industry, enabling next generation mission capabilities across Earth observation, telecommunications and exploration. Craft Prospect is currently lead provider on the Versatile Optical Laboratory for Telecommunications (VOLT) mission supported by UKSA and ESA and working within a consortium including BT, Toshiba and AAC Clyde Space. OPS-SAT VOLT is the next mission in the award-winning OPS-SAT series of satellites demonstrating next generation operations and concepts.
