An Explanation For The JWST’s Puzzling Early Galaxies

belaUniverse Today14 hours ago3 Views

In this JWST image, the galaxy Y1 glows with a red light from heated dust. It's undergoing, or underwent, a period of extremely rapid star formation. If other ancient galaxies experienced the same thing, that can explain why ancient galaxies are so much more massive than astronomers thought they could be. Image Credit: NASA, ESA, CSA (JWST), T.
