Remember when the only time you’d see a planetarium was on a school trip? Now, with the aid of this Pococo Galaxy Star Projector, you can transform any room into a realistic depiction of the cosmos. Even better, it’s my favorite rechargeable star projector, allowing you to take it from room to room, and this Black Friday, it’s down to just $76, a saving of $16.

The Pococo Galaxy Star Projector gives pricier projectors a run for their money and, with two projection discs, Diamond Stars and Westerlund2, it’s got everything you need to transform a room into a mini-planetarium. Want to see more of the galaxy? You can purchase additional discs for $38 for six discs, which is surprisingly reasonable.
I think it’s the best value rechargeable star projector suited to adults and children alike. In my review of the Pococo Galaxy Star Projector, I praised its “Bright, colorful and sharp imagery,” near-silent operation and the fact that it can be operated without the need to mess about with an app.
Its slides are static, but as you watch them rotate, you’ll be thoroughly relaxed. The image quality is excellent, especially when compared to the likes of the Sega Homestar Flux. At this low price, it’s hard to go wrong.
Key features: 12 sq m projection surface, Rotation/tilt, LED bulb, sleep timer, 157 x 120 x 120 mm in size, no app or speaker.
Product launched: December 2022.
Price history: The projector has previously dropped to this price, during Prime Day and Black Friday, but it’s never been cheaper.
Price comparison: Amazon: $76 | Pococo: $99
Reviews consensus: The Pococo Galaxy Projector projects gorgeous static images, is a dream to use and can be upgraded with additional, fairly-priced slides. It’s rechargeable, too, which makes operation even more of a breeze.
