The Hubble Space Telescope has returned its focus to the spiral galaxy NGC 3370, a notable celestial body situated approximately 90 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. Featured as the latest Picture of the Week by the European Space Agency, NGC 3370 has been a frequent subject of observation for astronomers over the last twenty years, and for good reason. This galaxy serves as an exceptional resource for measuring cosmic distances.

NGC 3370 is home to two crucial astronomical phenomena: Cepheid variable stars and Type Ia supernovae.
