The Mandalorian and Grogu are all set for their debut on the big screen and will be dropping out of hyperspace into cinemas on May 22. We can’t wait to watch the movie, but in the meantime, here’s a money-saving deal on a really cool Grogu Lego set.

Rich works across Future’s Knowledge and Sports websites to find deals that will interest our readership. He’s old enough to have watched the original Star Wars trilogy in the cinema when the movies came out (which, of course, he did).

He may be a relative newcomer on the Star Wars scene, but Grogu, aka ‘The Child’ or ‘Baby Yoda’, has rapidly become one of the franchise’s most popular characters.

While there has previously been a standalone Grogu Lego set, called The Child (now retired), this Grogu and Hover Pram set is currently the only option for fans of the diminutive green alien.

The majority of the 1048 pieces in this set are used to build the much larger pram, but the completely separate Grogu figure is a joy to put together. His ears and head can be moved into different positions, which helps to give Grogu a number of expressions. His arms can be animated too – operated by gogs on the rear of his body.

Grogu comes with a number of accessories – a shifter ball, a cookie and a blue Sorgan Frog. His fingers are designed so he can hold them.

The set also comes with a Minifigure version of Grogu in his pram, which you can mount on a clear Lego plinth next to an information plaque on Grogu.

Key features: Number of pieces: 1048, dimensions: 7.5 x 7 x 6 inches (19 x 18 x 16cm), movable parts on Grogu, comes with plaque and Mini-Figure, recommended age: 10+.

Product launched: January 1, 2025

Price history: The lowest ever price for this set was around last Black Friday, when it dipped to $49.99. Since then, it’s fluctuated between the current deal price and the full $99.99 MRSP. I’d expect it to be back at the MRSP as we get nearer to the Mandalorian and Grogu movie release in May. Many other related products are all already full price.

Price comparison: Amazon: $84.00 | Walmart: $92.49 | Best Buy: $89.99

Reviews consensus: We gave the set four out of five stars in our review. On Amazon, it’s got a 4.9-star rating from 594 reviews. Our Lego tester found the pram to be the least exciting part of the build; however, it’s an aspect that many Amazon reviewers enjoyed.
